The Cony softball team rallied for five runs in the sixth inning to post a 6-2 win over Bangor in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win Monday.
Gabby McGuire allowed just three hits to earn the win for Cony (2-3), while third baseman Brooklyn Belanger collected two of Cony’s four hits against Bangor pitcher Morgan-Carter Moulton.
CONY 8, BANGOR 1: Mitch Macfarland pitched a three-hitter as Cony claimed the KVAC A win in Augusta.
Kyle Douin had a double and a single for Cony (2-3). The Rams took the lead with three runs in the third inning before putting it away by tacking on four more in the sixth.
